MEET DEREK
I’m the guy behind the camera and the one who edits every second of your film. I live in Abruzzo, Italy, with my wife, Gem, and our three dogs, Luna, Tofu, and Nori. We moved here during the pandemic because we wanted to stop waiting for the weekend and start living a life we actually loved every day.
I’m a big fan of the real things in life: city breaks, live music, and eating out. Most evenings, you’ll find me playing Scrabble with Gem over a bottle of wine or hanging out with our dogs, cat or chickens!
I’ve been filming weddings since 2017 and I still haven't lost that goofy smile I get when I’m editing a great moment. The energy of a wedding day is just addictive.
Even though I live in Italy, I’m back in Ireland all the time. I always fly in several days early to make sure I’m on the ground well before your wedding starts, so you never have to worry about flight delays or travel issues. I treat your wedding date like it is written in stone. On the Italian side, I’m a ready-made co-ordinator and interpreter to help your dream Italian wedding run super smoothly.
I don’t use a team of random shooters or send my editing off to a big factory. I film every wedding myself and I personally edit every frame. You’ll always know exactly who is showing up on the day and who is putting your film together.
